Yay. School's back in. Time to learn.
We need a snack that is portable, nutritious and delicious - something they want to eat; a reward after a morning full of effort.
No peanuts. Must not need utensils. No peels, pits or wrappers you can't stuff in a pocket while you play. Small enough so they don't have leftovers; big enough to stave their hunger until lunch.
Must be sweet but not sugary. Must contain protein, some carbs, and sugar of course.
So far I have:
Cheese straws / Ham & Cheese straws
White Chocolate chip & Blueberry cookies
Lemon cake
Cheese lumpia
Samosa - would those be food safe enough?
Jerky
Savoury granola bars
